Your beaches on display
Onbeach is committed to collecting accurate and objective information on all beaches in the Netherlands. Our inspectors’ beach visits are nevertheless only a random indication. Beaches may just have been littered because of a storm or photos may have been taken on a cloudy day.
If you believe you have been assessed unfairly or the photos or videos don’t do the beach justice, please send us an email at admin@onbeach.com.
If we have misspelt the name of your beach or if you would like to suggest an alternative name, we would also like to hear from you.
In all email correspondence concerning beaches, please state the name of the beach, country and region clearly, as written on Onbeach.com. Please list the errors as well as suggestions on how to correct them. You can also send us alternative beach photos. Please note that photos should not exceed 250 KB in size. Also, please do not send more than 4 photos of each beach.
Important: do not include suggestions and photos of more than one beach per email. This will be easier to process and avoid possible mistakes.
Adding beaches in your region to Onbeach.com
Beaches are a very important factor for visitors of coastal regions. The Onbeach.com beach database enables holiday-makers to find their holiday destinations. That is why it is very important for coastal regions to make information on their beaches available to the public.
Everyone is at liberty to add beaches to Onbeach.com. Representatives of tourist authorities and local governments can also include their beaches in the database in this way. User-added beaches will however be presented in less detail.
Assessing your beaches by Onbeach.com
Regions can also ask Onbeach.com to assess their beaches. This has some important advantages. Beaches assessed by Onbeach will:
· feature on our website in 8 languages;
· get an official Onbeach.com beach rating;
· be indexed and therefore searchable on beach characteristics.
In addition, the beaches assessed by Onbeach.com will be displayed on the website in greater detail, because more aspects are taken into account in the assessment. Thanks to Onbeach.com’s in-depth experience in mapping beaches, it can even be more economical to outsource this type of work to us than send your own people. Onbeach even offers this service at cost price.
It is also possible to integrate parts of Onbeach.com in a country’s or region’s own promotion website.
